About UNICEF

UNICEF is the driving force that helps build a world where the rights of every child are realized.
To pursue this aim UNICEF realizes long term development programmes in more than 150 developing countries to make improvements in all the strategic sectors of children's lives: maternal and child health, nutrition, education, protection from abuse and exploitation, HIV/AIDS prevention. 

UNICEF is guided by the
Convention on the Rights of the Child

and strives to reach the
Millennium Development Goals
